Leopold's Maneuver

Class, we are diving into the stages of labor this week and I want to show you a video on how to perform an abdominal assessment of a pregnant women, including Leopold's Maneuver, fetal heart tone, and skin assessment. Leopold's Maneuver is a technique used to determine the position of the fetus as it lies in mom's abdomen.  This can tell a health care professional what the presenting part of the fetus is.  This is an excellent video to prepare you for your clinical and we will use a mannequin to simulate the assessment done on this video. I expect everyone to take notes from this video so everyone is well prepared when we perform our simulation.
