Unit 1

Hopefully everyone was able to access the blog site and have been able to explore a little on the AWHOON home page.  In regards to the teen pregnancy article, it is great to see the rates dropping and if we keep educating and providing these young teens with available resources (i.e. birth control), we can hope to see the statistics continue to decline.

This week I am providing you with a link to mini presentation of how the fetus grows in the first thirteen weeks, or the first trimester.  What is really awesome about this, is the ultrasound pictures of the fetus and how you can see the weekly changes it makes.  The descriptions help you with what you are looking at so you can become a pro at interpreting ultrasounds! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Later this week I will be posting a pregnancy IQ test to see how much you know about pregnancy! Fun things to come!!!
Here is the link to the slide presentation:

  1. Hi Melissa,
I loved the pictures on this website. The detail from 3-D ultrasounds is impressive.
